About us

The Good Farm Fund was founded in 2015 by and for farmers and food producers. We materially support farmers, food systems workers, and food justice projects to create a more just and sustainable food economy and increase the well-being of all in our region.

The Good Farm Fund has granted over $650,000 toward critical infrastructure for small farms, ranches, food production facilities, and food justice projects. We also provide an ongoing annual grant to the Mendocino County Farmers Market Alliance, helping ensure access to high quality local foods in Lake and Mendocino County’s famers markets.

Our Partners

We partner with MCFARM as part of our ongoing commitment toward community access to healthy, local foods

The Good Farm Fund provides an annual recurring grant to The Mendocino County Farmers Market Association. This partnership helps ensure that the MarketMatch program is available at all certified farmers markets in Mendocino and Lake Counties. The MarketMatch program doubles the value of a community member’s CalFresh benefits when shopping at a farmers market.

Community Partners Supporting Our Farmworker Fund

Join us in celebrating the following community organizations. Without their support, it wouldn’t be possible for us to offer the stipend program that helps farmworkers facing emergencies cover basic needs.

Sueño Latino

Our Fiscal Sponsor

The Good Farm Fund is grateful to be a fiscally sponsored program of Social and Environmental Entrepreneurs (SEE), whose mission is to “empower, encourage, and catalyze projects so that we can collaborate and facilitate positive change.”

Additionally, we are supported by…

The innumerable efforts of our dedicated volunteers, foundation support from Redwood Credit Union and Mendocino Grove, the generous contributions (large and small!) from private donors, and the grassroots community that has risen up to support our fundraising drives and events. We offer our sincere thanks to all who have made these important investments in our local agricultural and food communities!

We’re always looking for new partners in this economic development and food security work. Please reach out if your business or organization can help support The Good Farm Fund, one of our programs, or one of our regular fundraising events through event sponsorship, volunteer work, or a donation of food, drink, or event space.
